What type of race is this and what is the distance?
This is a vertical stair climbing race. Participants will begin at the 1/F Lobby and race up to the tower’s rooftop, climbing 2,041 steps and 330 metres.
Who can participate in the run?
The race is open to the public and the categories comprise of amateurs, teams and elite athletes. The minimum age entry is 18 years old on race day.
Is this a good race for first-timers?
Although challenging, this race is achievable for most people and can be completed by walking as there is no cut-off time. However, we strongly recommend training for this event for first-timers or even if you are an experienced runner but have never done this particular race before.
What is the weather in September in Beijing?
Generally, the temperature in Beijing in September is between 15 to 26 degrees celcius with an average humidity of 68%.

When is the registration deadline?
11:59PM (Beijing time), 21 August 2016 or when the race quota has been filled.

What is your refund and transfer policy?
There will be no refunds and no transfers (giving up your entry to another person).

How far is downtown Beijing from Beijing International Airport?
Beijing Capital Airport is approximately 35km from downtown Beiing.

China World Summit Wing, Beijing is located next to the start line. We will be offering special rates for participants soon.

When and where is the Race Kit Collection?

Can I pick up my race kit on Race Day?
No, they will not be available to pick up on race day. You are required to pick it up at the Race Kit Collection.
What do I need to bring with me in order to pick up my Race Kit?
You need to bring your Confirmation E-mail, your photo ID and the Medical Waiver Form.
Would it be possible to authorise other person to pick my Race Kit?
No. Runners will need to undergo a mandatory basic medical checkup during Race Kit Collection to ensure they are medically and physically fit to participate in the race.
I am living outside Beijing, what if I cannot attend the Race Kit Collection?

Where can I park?
Parking for cars and motorbikes is available at China World Summit Wing, Beijing.
What time does my wave start on race day?
Organisers will announce the race day schedule soon after registrations close. The event is expected to start in the morning and finish by early to mid afternoon.
What can I do with my bag?
Baggage facilities will be provided for participants. If you do plan to use this service, please bring an inexpensive bag and leave your valuables at home. We will not be responsible for lost or missing items.
Where do I place my race bib?
Your race bib should be properly secured using safety pins and must be displayed on your front throughout the race.
Will the race start in waves or all at the same time?
Participants will be flagged off in waves of around 10-15 participants each, depending on the number of entries of each category.
Will there be water available?
Yes, there will be water available for participants at the mid-way point and finish area.
Will you have a Lost & Found in case I lose something on race day?
Yes, the Lost & Found will be at the information desk for items that are missing on race day.
Can my family and friends watch me race?
Start Area: Yes, spectators will be allowed to watch the start at the non-restricted area of the 1/F Lobby.
Finish Area: Due to limited space, access to the rooftop will not be available for spectators.
AFTER THE RACE
Where is the Prize Presentation held?
The Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held at 1/F Outdoor Area at approximately 12:30 PM. The first three winners of each individual category and the winner of team challenge category are requested to assemble at the prize presentation area in front of the stage immediately after the announcement of each category’s results. Winners who are unable to receive their award in person should immediately inform the officer in charge at the prize presentation area and arrange award pickup at China World Summit Wing, Beijing.

Individual: The top 3 finishers in each category.
Team Challenge: The top finishing team.
